CL Mentioned about her Career as a Solo Artist

CL has returned as a solo artist.
CL held an online press conference to commemorate the release of the double title tracks 'HWA' and 'Five Star' (5STAR) on the 29th.
CL began her solo career after her exclusive contract with YG Entertainment expired last November. The month after the termination, she released a project album that compiles stories after the breakup of 2NE1. This September, she released an intro video called "Post Up." And this time, she released a single album featuring 'Hwa' and '5Star,' marking the start of her career.
During the press conference, CL talked about the difference between group activities and solo activities. She said, "Solo has a different atmosphere. I had to learn things all again because I had to play the role of four people alone."
"It was the hardest part to start. Once I start, I keep going without stopping, but it's hard to make a start because I think too much. Doing nothing makes me think about the past or the future. If I focus on the present, I can overcome it", she added.
Then she continued, "I learned that what I have done until now was made through a lot time and energy by many people, and I appreciate that. The reason why I wanted to set up a team alone is because I wanted to learn what I was doing."
She also mentioned about 2NE1, saying that she is receiving a lot of support from the members. She showed her affection towards the members by saying "We used to be in a position to be cheered together, but now we have a lot to cheer for each other. Even if it's not a special word, their existence gives me strength. We're the closest friends, so just being together makes me feel good."
'Hwa' is a song that utilizes the familiar play of South Korea called 'Mugunghwa' as a chorus. Another song, '5Star,' is a song that expresses honest feelings in love, which also includes CL's charming vocal.
As for the new song, CL said, "'Hwa' marks my beginning. '5Star' is a song that I made because I thought it would be nice to have a song that makes people comfortable and pleasant to listen to."
"This project is a piece of music that I wanted to stamp on the identity of CL. I tried to do the genres I could do as CL and the things I wanted to do."
