The group Treasure has expressed their thoughts on the delay about their debut since 'YG Treasure Box'.
On the 7th, Treasure's "THE FIRST STEP: CHAPTER ONE" press conference was held. Twelve of the Treasure members Choi Hyun-suk, Ji Hoon, Yoshi, JunKyu, Mashiho, Yoon Jae-hyuk, Asahi, Bang Ye-dam, Doyoung, Haruto, Park Jeong-woo, and So Jung-hwan attended.
Treasure is receiving attention as it is YG's new group in four years since BLACKPINK and the new generation of a boyband after Big Bang, Winner, and Icon. Twelve members, eight Koreans and four Japanese, were selected through the survival program "YG Treasure Box," which aired in 2018. They began their debut project in January this year and finally reached their debut moments.
Treasure's Doyoung mentioned about the delay in his debut after YG Treasure Box, saying "It took me a long time to produce something cool." He added, "I became more greedy about the delay in my debut, rather than being nervous or anxious. It was a time for me to learn more deeply and grow through hard work and preparation."
Jeong-woo said "As it's the beginning, I'm nervous about how you'll see us", he added, "Since there are twelve Treasure members, there are things that are possible and we'll try to become an artist who can show our own."
Meanwhile, Treasure will release its first single album "THE FIRST STEP: CHAPTER ONE" and music video for the title track "BOY" at 6 p.m. on 7th.
